Away Travel
Away-match coach travel is arranged by TASC - The Altrincham FC Supporters' Club, through its Travel Co-Ordinator, Tom Jacobs. Services run to all away league and cup games and discount rates are charged to TASC members. You can join TASC in the club shop on matchdays or by ringing the club.
All fans intending to use the coach must book in advance; this can be done at the ground on matchdays or by ringing the Club on 928-1045. If you sub sequently cannot come, it is important that you cancel your booking to allow a substitute to be found, if possible.
Coaches are normally provided by Go Goodwins, based in Eccles. Their owner is Geoff Goodwin, chairman of Altrincham Football Club. Go Goodwins kindly provide the coaches at a discounted rate to allow supporters to get to away matches in comfort. For some matches a mini bus is used.
It is aimed for transport to reach away venues an hour before kick-off on Saturdays/ bank holidays but slightly less early on weekdays. They depart for the return journey straight after the game. The coaches are alcohol-free so the trips are suitable for all ages.
All journeys start at The Vine (unless otherwise stated), where the pick-up point is the bus lay-by next to the pub. The next stop is at the Hare and Hounds, Timperley, where the pick-up point is about 200 yards before the pub on the side of Stockport Road heading into Altrincham. Please note that the former pick-up point at Station House, Altrincham has been discontinued. The final pick-up is at Moss Lane, outside the main entrance to Altrincham FC.
